Equivac® 2in1

Why risk a deadly disease when you can vaccinate against it?

Tetanus: up to 80% of horses that get tetanus will die1- sadly, owners of affected animals often have to euthanase their horse to end the misery.

Strangles: highly debilitating, potentially fatal and extremely contagious respiratory disease that will keep your horse out of action - and still contagious - for weeks, or even months2,3

What is Equivac® 2 in 1?

It is the cornerstone of equine vaccination. Equivac® 2 in 1 is a vaccine used for the immunisation of horses against tetanus and strangles (caused by Streptococcus equi).

Advantages of using Equivac® 2 in 1? 

Equivac® 2 in 1 provides ongoing protection against both tetanus and strangles with one vaccine given annually as boosters.

For optimal protection against strangles give boosters every 6 months using either Equivac® 2 in 1 or Equivac® S.

When do I use Equivac® 2 in 1? 

It is given initially as three doses, not less than two weeks apart, followed by annual boosters to maintain immunity.

Usage

First dose:

  • From 3 months of age

Second dose:

  • Not less than 2 weeks after first dose

Third dose:

  • Not less than 2 weeks after second dose

First Booster dose

  • 1 year after primary vaccination course

Second Booster dose:

  • Every year following first booster dose (For optimal protection against strangles give boosters every 6 months using either Equivac 2 in 1 or Equivac S)
