How much sun protection does a horse need in Australia?

Every horse needs protection in our sunny climate. Due to the large body size of a horse, it’s difficult for them to cool down quickly. Plus a diet high in fibre gives off a lot of heat. It’s essential to provide a shaded area outside so your horse can get some relief from the sun. In most cases, a stable will get too hot to provide comfortable shade in hot weather.
