I have several older horses that struggle to maintain weight. What can I do to help them put weight back on? Mandy

Older horses need highly digestible, high-energy feeds. Beat pulp is commonly used because it is a highly digestible fibre source. Another alternative is to source commercial feeds containing grains that have been processed, making it easier for the horse to digest them. A horse’s individual circumstances should always be taken into account when designing a diet. Consult your vet if rapid weight fluctuation occurs.
